Privacy Policy
What WSF Media collects when you send a pitch, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it.
This page covers the practical side of running a small reader-supported blog. We keep the wording plain because the
rules are not complicated: a form on the contact page collects a few fields, the handler writes them to a local file,
and nothing else happens automatically. There is no account, no newsletter signup and no third-party tracking on this site.
What the form collects
The story pitch form asks for your name, your email address, which city the pitch is about, what kind of
submission you are sending, and a short summary of the place or story. A checkbox confirms that you understand
submissions are edited for plain English before publishing. Every one of these fields is required.
What the handler records
When a form is submitted, the handler stores the values you entered together with the submission time, the form
identifier, the page language and the source query string from the URL. Everything is written to a local file at
/private/submissions.jsonl on the same server. Nothing is forwarded to an email inbox, a CRM or an analytics service.
How long it is kept
There is no automatic deletion schedule. Submissions stay in the log file until the site owner removes them by
hand. If you want your entry taken out, write to us and we will delete the record rather than leave it sitting
in the file indefinitely.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask for a correction, ask for a copy in a portable format, or ask us
to delete it. You can also withdraw consent at any time, which means we stop holding your submission and remove it.
Readers in the EU and California have specific statutory rights under GDPR and CCPA, and we apply the same
handling to every request regardless of where you write from.
Editorial honesty
WSF Media does not publish misleading claims, invented statistics, fake urgency, fake endorsements or fake brand
partnerships. We do not claim affiliations we do not have, and we do not promise outcomes we cannot confirm.
Ownership of the blog is stated plainly, and any sponsored material would be labelled as such rather than
dressed up as editorial. If something on the site looks wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
Privacy requests
Send access, correction, deletion, portability or consent-withdrawal requests to the address below. Include the
email you used when submitting so we can find the right entry.
