The Guide Center is an index, not a help desk. It gathers the threads we keep returning to and points you to the right place if you want to reach a person.
If a piece raised a question, the fastest route is usually the one that matches what you actually want to do. Pitches and reader mail go through one form. Corrections, rights questions and anything about how we handle your details have their own pages. Nothing here is a queue you have to guess at, and there is no ticket number waiting for you at the end.
Story pitches, photo essay ideas, reader mail and walking routes all go through the same submission form on the contact page. Tell us which city it is about and what you are sending, and it lands with the contributing editor who covers that thread.
A street, a commute, a stall nobody has written about yet. Short notes are fine. If you have walked a route you think others would enjoy, send it as a walking route and describe the terrain and the shade.
Spotted a wrong street name or a detail that does not match the place? Write to the same address and say which piece you mean. Requests to reuse text or images also go there rather than through the pitch form.
What we collect when you write to us, and how long it stays, is set out in the privacy policy. The rules for submissions and reuse sit in the terms.
The guide center keeps the blog's recurring threads findable, but some notes arrive by email rather than through a page. If a route, a stall or a stretch of your commute is missing from the archive, this is where to send it.
We read everything that comes in, whether it is a full pitch, a photo essay idea, a walking route or a short note about a corner of the city nobody has written about yet. Submissions are edited for plain English before they go up, and the same goes for reader mail. There is no queue to join and no account to create; you write, we read, and the piece either fits the archive or it does not.

Calls about a story pitch, a correction or a reader note all land in the same place.
Best for pitches, photo essay ideas, walking route suggestions and letters about a street you know well.
If you would rather send it through the site, the pitch form on the contact page collects the same details. The guide center itself stays a reading index, so nothing you send here gets filed into it automatically.
This site would like to load images and video from external media services so pages display as intended. Nothing is requested until you choose, and your decision is remembered on this device only. You can read how we handle data in our privacy policy.
